In 1947  Stanley Richards set up Everton Glass and his sons Alan and Stan joined forces  with him in the 1960's. The sons helped their father develop the glass and  decorating business. After this Everton Glass branched out into ceramics,  eventually leading to Tile Clearance and EG Ceramics one of the North West’s  largest tile retailers. They also began supplying interior and exterior wooden  doors.
